Beth came to Brightlane Studio when she was expanding her existing newborn photography business, and was going to start offering Doula services in addition to photography. She knew it was time for her to invest in herself, her business, and her client experience, so we enrolled her in the Brightlane Studios signature experience, giving her access to brand strategy and design, custom website design, a brand photoshoot, copywriting support, and social media strategy.
We began Beth's project by diving into her brand strategy. At Brightlane Studio, our brand strategy process involves getting down to the nitty gritty of your business - we discuss your goals (business and personal), your intention with this project, your mission, voice, competitors, and more.
Beth's Brand Strategy concluded that we needed her brand to be not only warm and welcoming, but nurturing, as she's working with mothers, babies, and families in some of the most tender points in their lives.
I presented two concepts at the end of our Strategy Guide, pictured below. I knew Beth was inspired by vintage style and elements, and the Pinterest board she created included a lot of inspiration in a dark, moody color palette, which I utilized to create Concept 1.
However, based on her brand strategy, who we were looking to connect with and attract, and her own portfolio of work, I created Concept 2, drawing on softer inspiration and a lighter color palette, while still holding onto the vintage feel of the logo designs.
After some additional market research, we concluded that Concept 2 would be our best direction moving forward.

It's always so fun to photograph other photographers - as they tend to show off their work more than themselves. It was SUCH a joy to capture Beth's brand photos, and they instantly blended with her brand identity and her own portfolio work. You can see the full gallery here, but here are a few of our fav shots from her branding shoot.
Beth utilized the mini brand shoot that's included in every project - so we shot for 1 hour, and she received a gallery of 20 edited images.
Beth does just so happen to be a published author (incredible, right!!), but she thoroughly enjoyed the assistance provided when it came to copywriting for her website.
For every website project, Brightlane Studio's copywriter, Audrey, prepares a custom website copy template based off of the wireframes of each page of the website. The copy template is then filled out by the client, and Audrey will go through the Google Doc, add her comments and updates, and host a review call with the client to go over her recommendations to make their copy as impactful and connective as it can be.
Some of our favorite snippets of copy from Beth's site include:
If Beth's transformation is speaking to you, go ahead and send us a message. The entire team here at Brightlane Studio is eager to work with more passionate, dedicated creators, makers, movers and shakers, and we'd love to write one of these case studies about your business.
